Shame, Shame, Shame: Duckworth Debacle Proves the ‘War on Women’ is on the Democrats

Iraqi War veteran and double amputee Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth [D-IL] is the latest victim of the “War on Women.” Her perpetrators? Democratic Congresswomen Rosa DeLauro and Nancy Pelosi.

The Congresswoman, on top of everything else, is currently eight months pregnant, and has been prescribed bed rest until she delivers. However, the two congresswomen, who ironically are strong advocates of equality in the workplace, have shot down Congresswoman Duckworth’s request to vote by proxy. According to The Federalistthe congresswomen are not permitting Rep. Duckworth to vote via proxy because her vote may be the one to block their preferred candidate for “ranking member of the powerful House Energy and Commerce committee.”

The fact that two of the most liberal members of Congress, the ones that are always pointing fingers at Republicans for this pseudo “war on women,” are the perpetrators of such actions says a lot about their character, both personally and politically. Protecting and defending the rights of women is a facade the Democratic Party uses to increase their voter base and further polarize the two political parties.

This isn’t the first time the Democratic Party has been hypocritical to their “beliefs.” Katie Pavlich points out numerous instances, such as the media’s defamation of former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Fox News star Megyn Kelly, and many other conservative women. Pavlich also points out that liberals are pushing the Clintons as the American Royal family, despite their history of defiling women, in her latest book Assault and Flattery: The Truth About the Left and Their War on Women.

Don’t be too sure that the Democratic Party has your back, ladies. There was a time in my life where I was not set in my political beliefs and didn’t understand the “War on Women.” Now that I am older, my eyes have been forced open, and I have seen what the other side is capable of.

When people tell me, “You’re a young woman, your party doesn’t care about you,” all I can do is laugh. If anything, the Republican Party is the better advocate for women. We advocate for life and freedom, and if that isn’t enough for you, go to the other side where they don’t allow pregnant, disabled veteran, members of Congress to vote via proxy.
