In today’s world Christianity is being attacked, and people are trying to have it censored. Here we have a person mocking prayer in Lake Worth, FL. Every Christian should watch this video and start to take a stand. In this video you will see an Atheist mocking prayer. Mr. Smith (the person praying) says two quotes that you can say he is mocking God.
“Father Earth, we gather today in your redeeming and glorious presence,” Mr. Smith said. “To invoke your eternal guidance in the universe, the original creator of all things.”
Commissioner Christopher McVoy is wrong by calling the people who walked out “very un-American.” The people who walked out took a stand for their beliefs. If you are a Christian, do you stand for your beliefs? Have you conformed to this world? If you have conformed to this world then read Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world…” These are all questions that you should ask yourself daily. If you look in the Bible, God asks us to stand up and speak truth.
The Bible has answers for each question stated above and it also talks about the consequences if we don’t obey our Christian duty. Christianity is a hard and busy duty. That’s why on Ephesians 6:11 says,
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” (NIV)
Not only do we have to focus on our salvation, but also we must come out of our comfort zone and spread the good gospel. We have the Great Commission that Jesus left for us on Mark 16:15:
“And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (NAS)
If you are a Christian and you are not sharing the Gospel, then you don’t understand your Christian duty. I ask again: what are your Christian beliefs? Have those beliefs changed in the last five years? What are you doing to keep those beliefs alive?
Why, as Christians, we have turned our backs from the world and ignore all the bad being done? It’s our duty to bring light in the darkness as stated in Matthew 5:16:
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (NAS)
It’s our duty to call out evil and guide people to the truth.
“If righteous people turn away from their righteous behavior and ignore the obstacles I put in their way, they will die. And if you do not warn them, they will die in their sins. None of their righteous acts will be remembered, and I will hold you responsible for their deaths. But if you warn righteous people not to sin and they listen to you and do not sin, they will live, and you will have saved yourself, too” Ezekiel 3:20–21 (NIV)
This passage is pretty clear about our Christian duty, and it tells us the consequences if we keep silent. There’s time for prayer and time for action. The time for action starts now take a stand on what you belief in. Go out to the world and be that beacon of light and advance the kingdom of God because nothing is impossible if we have God in our side.
“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37 (NAS)
