The highly anticipated announcement from Hillary Rodham Clinton came Sunday afternoon that she is yet again running for President. After a two-year hiatus from public life following her resignation as Secretary of State in February 2013, Clinton is back and ready for the spotlight.
Likewise, Republicans are ready to mount a full-scale attack on Clinton focusing on her lack of substantial accomplishments and failed policy as First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State. Potential Republican Presidential candidate and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina responded to Hillary Clinton’s campaign announcement by releasing a video Sunday afternoon:
“Mika Brezezinski: You said Hillary Clinton does not have a track record of accomplishments, why do you say that?
Carly Fiorina: She really doesn’t. Yes, she’s had a lot of very impressive titles, but a position is just a position — it’s all about what you do in it, and I think her time in the position of secretary of state is demonstrably one that lacks accomplishment but that also has some real blemishes on it.
It’s a problem when you mislead the American people for a month about what really happened in Benghazi. It’s a problem when you believe that Vladimir Putin can be thwarted by a red reset button. I’ve met Vladimir Putin. I sat across the table from him; there’s no way a red reset button is going to work. It’s a problem when our relationship with Israel has deteriorated so dramatically, and it’s a problem when terrorism is on the rise, not on the wane as she and the president continue to try to convince the American people…
And just the fact that she’s running for president is inspiring to many women — I take none of that away from her.
But if we are going to have a real conversation about tapping the potential of both men and women, then we also have to be able to talk beyond gender, and talk actually about track record and accomplishment and policies, and I think that’s the ground upon which this debate needs to be waged: What are your policies, what’s your track record, and what are your accomplishments?”
Although Carly was merely one of the many Republicans to respond to Clinton’s campaign announcement, MSNBC host Mika Brezexzinski went into full on attack mode against Fiorina when she was a guest on her show Monday.
Brezezinski looked like she was going to have a cow when Fiorina gave such a thorough, and truthful response. When someone’s done something that they know is wrong or bad, the last thing they want is light to be shown on their actions.
Clinton’s supporters are the exact same. They are perfectly fine with sweeping her dirt under the rug, and focusing on doing anything they can to get her back into the White House in 2016.
Naturally, the MSNBC host ignored the facts that Fiorina laid at her door, and turned the table by going after Carly’s record. It’s rather interesting to see Brezezinski attack a woman for disagreeing with Clinton’s claimed success, but didn’t utter a peep about all of the male Republicans and Democrats who believe Hillary Clinton isn’t fit to be President.
If I were a Liberal, I’m pretty sure this is the part where I call Mika Brezezinski a sexist. Thank God I’m not, and I know it’s just MSNBC protecting their Lord and Savior, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
