This Memorial Day we remember those Americans who didn’t make it back, whether it was from recent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, whether it was upon the beaches of Normandy or Iwo Jima, or any other conflicts. Unfortunately, as fallen creatures, most of us need days like today as reminder for those lost, as time and neglectfulness make us apathetic.
One of the very first things an American soldier learns in basic training is four “Warrior Ethos,” the core bedrock principles of conduct in the Army. The first three are, “I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit.” The fourth Ethos I want to draw attention to, because it is perhaps the most important of the four, in my opinion: “I will never leave a fallen comrade.”
On September 11, 2012, four Americans were killed in Benghazi, Libya, and most of America has not only forgotten this, but become upset any time they are reminded of it. This is because the White House and the Democratic left in this country have spent the two and a half years since deflecting and lying about the night Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone S. Woods, and Glen Doherty were killed.
For months after the attack, they labelled the attack as “spontaneous,” stemming from outrage over an anti-Muslim “film,” which had recently been translated into Arab. The smallest amount of investigation into this revealed the attacks were highly coordinated, and the “film” was actually a 15-minute YouTube video called “The Innocence of Muslims,” with quality of that of a seven year-old with an iPhone.
Obviously this is absurd, considering timing, the sophistication of simultaneously attacking two complexes across the city, and the combat level and armaments found on the attackers. Now, thanks to efforts by Judicial Watch, documents have been obtained through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, proving five days after the attacks the Defense Intelligence Agency sent documents across executive agencies acknowledging the attacks were coordinated at least ten days prior, before the video was ever dubbed and translated into Arabic.
More revealing are the DIA, Department of Defense, and Department of State documents which revealed that on September 12, the day after the attack, the agencies had concluded that the attack was launched by “Brigades of the Captive Omar Abdul Rahman.” This group is linked to both al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood, created to sympathize with the “Blind Sheikh,” who is US prison for involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings.
To top it all off, the September 16, 2012 memo by the DIA also confirmed that the attacks were “to kill as many Americans as possible to seek revenge for U.S. killing of Aboyahiye ((ALALIBY)) and in memorial of the 11 September 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center buildings.” Aboyahiye referring to Abu Yahya al-Libi, a Libyan member of al Qaeda and the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, who was killed by a US drone strike on June 4, 2012, three months before the Benghazi attack.
Why would the administration try to make a claim this ridiculous, when the truth was right in their face?
Two main reasons: The Obama administration didn’t want to admit its foreign policies in the Middle East have been a complete failure since he entered office. More importantly, in order to cover up these foreign policy blunders, the administration, including Hillary Clinton with the Department of State, left the Benghazi consulate out to dry that night, and months prior to the attack.
Ever since the Arab Spring caught the Middle East and northern Africa ablaze, starting with the late 2010-2011 regime switch in Tunisia, the administration threw all efforts into supporting the rebellions in Egypt, Libya, Yemen, and Syria. Also revealed recently, was the fact that the United States had actually smuggled arms to rebels against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad through the port at Benghazi!
Therefore, had the Department of State or Department of Defense sent additional security to Libya, it would have drawn attention to their activities, as well as highlighted the failure of pushing for new “peaceful” regimes in the Middle East, which in turn have actually only destabilized the region.
Watch Fox News break the story here:
Simply put, the consulate was denied additional security leading up to the attack, and received no additional help from any military outlets nearby that night. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Clinton texted on her Blackberry and President Obama got a night’s sleep, later claiming plausible deniability.
It is obvious both Clinton and Obama threw Ambassador Stevens and the others to the curb, instead of taking responsibility for their failures as leaders, and giving them the aide they needed.
Now that it has been revealed that Hillary Clinton used a non-government email address the entire time, one of which was “email@example.com”, additional requests for the server to be turned over in its entirety have been denied. The server has allegedly been wiped clean of all emails that had not been selectively turned over by Clinton aides. Absent from the 55,000 pages of emails of scarce importance, and the more recent 296 emails obtained through FOIA requests, are any emails sent that night, once the attacks had begun.
Clinton claims she wants to see all the emails released as much as anyone else, despite her blatant deception. The emails that have been released were recently described by Charles Krauthammer as “a farce.”
Watch the video of “Special Report with Bret Baier” here.
As Krauthammer describes the Clinton’s are very secretive and any email released will carefully selected. Any “controversial” emails we see, are just for appearance, and are actually the tip of the iceberg. As Clinton’s race for the 2016 Democratic nomination for President heats up, more FOIA requests and subpoenas will be fulfilled, and more skeletons will come out of the closet.
If I may quote Mrs. Clinton, however, “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?!”
Let me tell you what difference it makes.
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama allowed four Americans to be killed in Benghazi.
Then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, on behalf of the White House led by President Barack Obama, pushed for damaging foreign policy initiatives that destabilized the Middle East. This included sending Americans, most likely Ambassador Chris Stevens as the head, to ship weapons to rebel forces throughout the region.
In order to keep this, along with the instability of the region, from gaining attention, allowed Stevens to run the consulate in Benghazi with sub-par security. Once the buildings came under attack, instead of sending in help, they allowed the terrorists to overrun the compound and kill four Americans. Trying once again to deflect the blame to someone else, they concocted and perpetuated the idea that the attacks were motivated by a YouTube video, and it was unexpected, rather than a planned attack they should have been prepared for.
Over the coming months, they knowingly continued the lie, calling everyone who questioned them a conspiracy theorist. When Congress launched an investigation, she spiked the ball to buy as much time as possible, cited health reasons making her incapable of giving testimony.
When it was found out that she had not responded to requests for more security in Benghazi, they continued to lie and deceive the nation, claiming ignorance. When she was asked if she knew whether or not the US ran guns to other nations through Benghazi, she lied and deceived the nation, claiming she did not know.
When it was revealed that the emails she sent during that time were not public, but on a private server, she lied about its significance, then quickly wiped the server of any damaging emails. Then she has the wherewithal to act like she wants all of the information out there for the world to see.
They left their fallen comrades. Then they lied and tried to cover it up. They have failed this nation and failed those under their command, whom have sworn to follow their leadership.
As we enjoy this Memorial Day, remember those who have fallen throughout American history. Let us continue our fight in America to take care of those who did make it back with wounds, as they try to get help through the broken VA system. Finally, let us fight for the memory and honor of those who didn’t make it back, including the four Americans this administration would prefer we forget.
