Three weeks ago, Hillary Clinton appeared poised to break a massive lead on Donald Trump. Mr. Trump did not receive the initial favorable bounce so customary of presidential candidates during their party’s conventions.
But my oh my how that all changed, and not because the American people have swallowed the cyanide-laced Kool Aid and learned to love Donald Trump — in fact, far from so. Another catastrophic scandal strategically released exposing both Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee now threatens to topple the candidacy of America’s first female presidential candidate. Whether or not we should thank the Trump campaign’s strong ties to former Soviet KGB agent and current Russian hegemon Vladimir Putin is an entirely separate topic for debate aside the appearance Trump is poised to become the Kremlin’s puppet chief executive.
Racial slurs by the Democratic National Committee’s top brass underscore what for decades has been accepted by conservatives, that the Democratic party has never renounced its true modi operandi from its first 140 years touting slavery and later Jim Crow. Planned protests through Hispanic racial supremacists at Trump rallies were classified within some e-mails as “taco bowl engagements” or poking fun at the name of a black woman named LaQueenia Allen. Disgraced former DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, herself a Jew, bitterly complained of having to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust.
All this is of course, consistent with rhetoric towards whites, Christians and Jews by the Obama administration. Lest the nation forget, it was none other than the architect of Obamacare, Jonathan Gruber, who described the stupidity of the American voter; or, just two decades earlier, proclaimed mandatory abortions targeting poor inner city blacks and minorities to be the extermination of “marginal children… for the social good.” Too, the vile remarks by Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg so evocative of the paramount icon of feminism, Margaret Sanger, that the legalization of abortions was intended to eventually become a mandated extermination of “undesirables” is no longer a matter of the Left’s having ever changed, or that their racism has ever been relegated to history as a poorly-articulated anachronism.
Of course, leave it to Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus to exalt the most vocally racist candidate since George Wallace into the totalitarian face of the party. Rather the GOP is a direct reflection of Donald Trump, a lifelong liberal who among his favorite books is a collection of Adolf Hitler’s speeches which he keeps nearby him according to his first wife Ivana and fellow colleagues and friends called My New Order.
Is there any point to continue defending the Republican party against the truth, the charge of it being the most incompetent political party in modern history?
The saying that one can’t cure stupid stands, and never straighter than during an election year pitting the two most crooked politicians to ever vie for the presidency. And while the Clinton campaign attempts futile damage control media blitzes at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia while disaffected Bernie Sanders’ supporters stage mass walkouts in protest to his campaign being stymied by the party, Trump’s bid to transform America into Putin’s Potemkin satellite in the West will continue honing his inner hatred for Ted Cruz and conservatives as he openly supports the Kremlin’s hack of further sensitive national security installations.
