In today’s world of neoconservative and progressive liberal agendas, it is refreshing to see millennials taking a bold stand for the Constitution and for liberty; that is exactly what Caleb Franz plans to do with his brand new podcast: MilLiberty.
Caleb works for OUTSET, a publication he describes as “liberty minded individuals with a passion for practical solutions and expanding freedom and human potential.” He has grown up with a firm belief and a deep adoration for the Constitution and for liberty in general. He says, “I have always wanted to make some kind of difference in society and i find Liberty is worth sharing and fighting for.”
“Ever since I was young, I’ve always had a passion for talk radio because it was so raw and uncensored.” Caleb told me as we discussed why he chose to go down the path of podcasts. He went on to say, “I know that podcasting is the way of the future, and i wasn’t about to wait until it really became a big deal. It was my desire to help shape the future in that sense.”
MilLiberty is a podcast unlike any other. You can find multiple podcasts that will talk to you about freedom, but not one that will challenge your beliefs, and your ideas, in a thought-provoking fashion such as this. Caleb is taking action with this podcast, he doesn’t want to just preach to the choir, nor does he want to just blandly ramble on about liberty to you. He wants you to be a part of this, he wants this podcast to be a community of like-minded individuals spreading the ideals they love.
He plans to do this by focusing on three major goals: 1. Educate 2.entertain and 3. empower.
“I want to give the next generation of Liberty lovers the tools to go out and fight for freedom like never before. Even if we are just a minority, that’s okay.” he continued with, “I take much inspiration from a quote of Samuel Adams, who said ‘It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men.’ I want the listeners of MilLiberty to become that minority.”
So what will Caleb be doing with MilLiberty to educate, entertain, and empower? He says, “We will have no sacred cows. So many things we will question and we will constantly step on toes because that is ultimately how we grow as individuals.” He is determined to leave you at the end of each podcast with a thought-provoking idea. His desire and hopes in this is so that you will come out a better messenger and defender of Liberty because of it.
He tells me his guests will be well-worth a listen. “The guests I will be bringing on will be incredibly important to the success and the uniqueness of the show – more important than anything I alone can do.” He went on, “I will be bringing on experts in their respected fields. People who I won’t always agree with, but will be important to bring on for the sake of starting conversations in new and innovative ways.” He wants people to know that the message of defending Liberty and the Constitution is much more important to him than pushing his own views.
Caleb Franz’s MilLiberty has a preview episode you can find here. However, his podcast officially starts Thursday, September 22. No matter if you’re liberal, conservative, libertarian, or an independent, he promises all will enjoy listening to “MilLiberty with Caleb Franz.”
