If you want to paint your walls differently, the best thing is that you go to the best professional painters for advice.

There are many techniques to carry out a good finish on your walls, one of them polished plaster. Within the polished plaster there are different varieties, in this case we will talk about Venetian polished plaster. This type of polished plaster has advantages that differentiate it from those of a simple color. The professional painters will be able to inform you about this type of polished plaster, they can also do it to paint your walls.

    Best Style

The cheap polished plaster london aims to achieve a wall with a relief effect that makes it similar to the Venetian style. It does so thanks to a polished plaster coating that is applied with a spatula.

This type of application is of great beauty, which is why it is carried out practically in all parts of the world. It is not a very modern technique, it has many years of antiquity: it was during the Renaissance when it became fashionable. It was carried out by the master decorators of this time. These achieved the maximum effectiveness and beauty of this technique.

    • This polished plaster is achieved by mixing lime and water, in addition to a fine marble powder. Thanks to these components, a fine and pleasant finish will be achieved, as was the case with the old Venetian walls.
    • This technique can be applied in many places, but it is recommended for decorating refined and highly sophisticated interiors and also for any home, premises or offices. It also has the peculiarity that it cannot only be used on flat surfaces, but is also ideal for cornices or columns.
    • Venetian polished plasteres differ from single-colored polished plasters in their durability. These polished plasters have a longer life than the simple ones. They are also breathable and prevent mold from appearing in the wet areas of the walls.

Venetian polished plaster is an artisan coating technique, which has been used since the 15th century, due to the beauty of its finish and its marble-like finish. This ancient decorative technique uses polished plaster, a material of high resistance and elasticity, which is applied with a spatula. The result of its correct application is a smooth surface with relief effect, which imitates the way it was applied in Venice during the Renaissance in villas and palaces. During that time with the Venetian master decorators, Venetian polished plaster reached its maximum expression and beauty.

But what is polished plaster made of and why can’t another material be used for this purpose?

Specifically, it is a mixture of elements, such as slaked lime and water, to which water and a little marble powder are added, which gives it a fine and pleasant finish. This coating can be applied in three different ways: marble effect, sgraffito and plaster, giving rise to three different visions of the same technique.

    Last Words

The first, the marble effect is characterized by its shiny and polished finish, the regular molding and by the layer of varnish used to give it that shine. Secondly, the sgraffito effect goes through the texturing of the polished plaster with superimposed elements, as if it were a bas-relief, or through its engravings. Finally, and perhaps the most common, is the plaster or plaster effect, since it achieves an equally spectacular finish, defined by a slight satin gloss, which reminds us of the way in which plaster is used to render a wall .
