INTRODUCTION

Kodaikanal is one such place in India that has a variety of places to visit in a day or two. The places to visit in Kodaikanal in a day are as follows-
- Bear Shola Falls- This is a small waterfall that is the prettiest in monsoon and is located very close to the famous Kodaikanal Lake. For one to reach the lake, a trekking trail is available which is surrounded by eucalyptus trees and is secluded during the other seasons. In seasons, except monsoon, the waterfall is mostly dry and is surrounded by beautiful birds and trees.
- Silver Cascade Waterfall– This waterfall is located at an altitude of 180 feet and is very steep. It can be seen via en route to Kodaikanal, surrounded by shops that serve eatables.
- La Saleth Church– It is a historical church and is one of the oldest churches in Kodaikanal. It is usually famous for its ambiance and is a powerful destination for its French-style architecture. The church is located over the hill and has a Roman look to it.
4.Kodaikanal Solar observatory– It is an observatory of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics and is located in Astrophysics. The observatory is home to the H Alpha Telescope and other varieties of a telescope. The observatory has a small museum that has a lot of interesting information in it.
5.Shembaganur Museum of Natural History– It is the perfect place for people who love paleontology and are curious about the history of animals. The museum consists of around 500 different species of birds and animals. The museum also has a herbarium where one can find many handcrafted artifacts.
